Dr. Fanwell Kenala
Dr. Fanwell Kenala Bokosi is the Executive Director at AFRODAD since November 2014; he is responsible for the overall development and delivery of the organisation’s policies and programmes. He also served as the Policy Advisor (Economic Governance and Development) for AFRODAD between December 2009 and January 2013. Dr BOKOSI holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Kent (UK) as well as a BSc and an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Malawi.
Adrian is the Policy and Research Consultant in the International Public Finance (IPF) Thematic Area portfolio. His role include providing policy intelligence and to coordinate the IPF portfolio policy inputs, research, campaigning and advocacy. He is committed to ensuring that AFRODAD policy products are usable at national, regional and international levels. Adrian has served the organisation as Programmes intern on Economic Justice and Domestic Debt in 2013 and 2014.
He has worked for a number of organisations including the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (NANGO), New Generation Trust (NGT), Young Diplomats Zimbabwe (YDZ) and the Royal Bank of Scotland. He holds a Certificate in Civic Leadership from the University of South Africa, a B.A Honours Degree in History and International Studies from Midlands State University (MSU) and a Master’s of Science in African Studies from the University of Edinburgh (UoE).
Annah Mushunje brings in vast experience in the finance and administration area. She is currently AFRODAD's Finance and Administration Manager. Annah previously worked for AFRODAD in the Finance Department as the Finance Officer from October 2014 to September 2016. She has worked in both private and Non-Governmental Organisations. She worked for organisations like Paper Co-Holdings and Women and AIDS Support Network where she was the Finance and Administration Officer.
She holds a Bsc Honours Science degree in Applied Mathematics from NUST and a Diploma in Chartered Secretaries and Administrators with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Zimbabwe (ICSAZ). She is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification.
Dennis is the Communications Assistant at AFRODAD. His role involves raising AFRODAD’s profile and agenda, providing communications service in support of AFRODAD’s programme objectives and assisting in the production and information dissemination of both print and electronic communications. He is a highly skilled communications specialist with vast experience in assisting organisations in different sectors to effectively communicate both internally and externally. He previously worked for the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Conference (ZCBC) from January 2010 to December 2017 as a Communications and Publications Assistant.
He has done communications consulting for various faiths based organisations: Caritas Zimbabwe in developing its communication strategy for disaster and emergencies programmes in Zimbabwe and Caritas Denmark livelihoods Programmes in Zimbabwe during its 5 year livelihoods programme (2013-2017) assisting the In-country director in planning, designing, implementing and carrying out mission’s advocacy and communication activities. He also developed a communication strategy and offered documentation services for the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in Zimbabwe (CCJPZ) during the commission’s role as an election observer for the Zimbabwe 2013 harmonised elections. He possesses advanced skills in print and photo journalism, desktop publishing, video editing, graphic designing and social media management. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Media and Society Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Development Studies.
Fadzai Bhila is an Assistant Accountant at Afrodad. She joined the organisation in April 2017. She previously worked for Youth Alive Zimbabwe and City of Mutare in their finance departments. She holds a Bachelors degree of Accounting from Africa University and is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification.
Fidélité Nshimiyimana is a seasoned innate communicator who holds a Master’s Degree in Communication for Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from Daystar University.
Emmanuella Matare, is the Senior Policy Analyst for DRM (Tax Justice, Extractives and Illicit Financial Flows). She is responsible for the implementation of activities within the portfolio through policy research and advocacy in line with the AFRODAD Strategic Plan. Prior to joining AFRODAD, Emmanuella worked as a Research Economist with the USAID Strategic Economic Research and Analysis (SERA) Program (Zimbabwe) for 5 years where she acquired vast knowledge and experience in evidence based socio-economic policy development, economic governance, training and monitoring and evaluation.

Ivy Gurure is the Monitoring & Evaluation and Fundraising Technical Assistant. She is responsible for Programme Monitoring and Evaluation and Fundraising Coordination for AFRODAD
Prior to joining AFRODAD, Ivy worked as a Research Assistant with Zimbabwe Economic Policy and Research Unit (ZEPARU). She holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe . She also has an Executive certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation from the same institution.
Tatenda is an intern attached to the Domestic Resource Management (DRM) Unit. He supports the Senior Policy Analyst in different assignments as a contribution to curbing Illicit Financial flows, promoting domestic resource mobilization, etc. Prior to joining AFRODAD, Tatenda, worked with Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Unit (ZEPARU) as a Research Intern and he has been engaged in various consultancies and research studies. Rangarirai Chikova is a Project Consultant in the Domestic Resources Mobilisation portfolio. His main responsibilities are to assist the Senior Policy Analyst in the implementation of activities within the portfolio through policy research and advocacy in line with the AFRODAD Strategic Plan. He holds a Bsc Hons in Public Administration from University of Zimbabwe and an Executive Certificate in Practical Monitoring and Evaluation from the same institution. He also holds a Masters Degree in Governance and Public Policy from Passau University, Germany. Mr Chikova is also a member of the German based African Good Governance Network which is a group of highly educated African academics who are dedicated to Good Governance principles. Prior to joining AFRODAD, Rangarirai worked as a Programmes Assistant at ZIMCODD and he has produced several publications on illicit financial flows, mineral resources governance and taxation.
Yungong Theophilus Jong
Theo is a development professional with extensive consulting experience in programme development and management, monitoring and evaluation, information and knowledge management for development and humanitarian work. He has been involved in higher education research and teaching activities at Euclid University, (Pôle Universitaire Euclide) - an international intergovernmental university with founding member states in Africa, Caribbean and Asia Pacific regions, and with a global faculty base. He also lectured at the Siantou University Institute, Cameroon.
Tirivangani Mutazu (known by many as "Tiri") is the Senior Policy Analyst responsible for the Debt Management Thematic Area. The key objective of this portfolio is to contribute to finding sustainable solutions to the African debt crisis and the aversion of future debts. Under this portfolio Tiri takes the lead on issues around responsible borrowing, fair and transparent arbitration debt mechanism and publicly supported private finance.
Tiri has vast experience on debt issues having joined AFRODAD as Programme Assistant in 2000. Vanessa Jaravaza is AFRODAD's Administrative Assistant. She joined the organisation in September 2016. In this role Vanessa will contribute to the achievement of AFRODAD mission and goals by providing strategic management and technical support in the development and implementation of human resources systems, policies and procedures; overseeing and coordinating the provision of efficient administrative.
Prior to joining AFRODAD, Vanessa worked for companies in the advertising and media industry as well as Willowvale Mazda Motor Industries. She has a marketing background and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM).
