John Oduk

John Oduk is a graduate of Strathmore University in Nairobi Kenya with a Bachelor of Business Science, Financial Economics. During his undergraduate studies, he did a research project on The Impacts of Economic Activities on County Government Revenue. He currently works at AFRODAD as the intern at the Executive Director’s office. He has previously worked with Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA) as a volunteer for their annual Pan African Conference on Illicit Financial Flows in 2017 and 2018 while undertaking his undergraduate degree. After the completion of his studies, he joined CAS consultants, a road construction consulting firm as a Laboratory Assistant in charge of materials data analysis, collecting and reporting laboratory tests results and supervision of work done by the contractor which played a key role in developing my skills in monitoring and evaluation. John has also done business consultancy by doing market research for upcoming businesses, offering strategy advice, financial modelling and building financial plans and designing business plans for them. At a personal level, John is interested in creating positive and transformational change in the society which led him into to developing a keen interest in policy, advocacy and research to champion for the just and sustainable solutions to prevailing socioeconomic issues in Africa and beyond.
