Anne-Marie Dias Borges is Franco-Cabo-Verdean journalist with over 20 years’ experience in the media. She was nominated among the 100 most influential women in Africa 2020 by Avance Media and also ranked 6th most inspirational African women of the diaspora in Europe by ADIPWE. Anne-Marie began her career in 2002 at BBC Afrique radio, in London, where she worked as a Producer and Presenter. In Paris, she worked as Chief Information Officer and TV Anchor for Africa24 TV. There, she hosted a weekly political TV debate called “Polititia” which was watched by hundreds of thousands of viewers. More recently, she worked as Head of 2 large BBC teams of journalists at BBC Africa TV. Producing and presenting impactful TV programmes. When she is not on air, she likes to contribute charitable activities, notably in Cabo-Verde where she has organized two successful anti-drugs campaigns, in partnership with the United Nations. She currently resides in London with her two children.
