Julius Pembere

Julius Pembere is a Policy & Advocacy Intern at AFRODAD, with a focus on Sovereign Debt Management. He graduated with a First-Class Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Development Studies from Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University and brings extensive experience in advocacy, community mobilization, active citizenship, and good governance. Julius has worked with the Zimbabwe Council of Churches and Padare Enkundleni Men's Forum on Gender, where he focused on policy advocacy, sustainable development, and social justice. His research interests include debt sustainability and the gendered impacts of sovereign debt. Driven by a passion for economic justice, Julius is committed to advancing equitable debt policies that promote Africa’s sustainable development.
