Mitchell Marie-Jo Jonathan is a Policy and Advocacy Intern, ED’s office. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in International Relations from Africa University. Her professional experience spans public policy, parliamentary affairs, international relations, research and advocacy. Prior to joining AFRODAD, Mitchell worked with the Parliament of Zimbabwe, where she supported the External Relations department. At AFRODAD her work focuses on policy research, advocacy, stakeholder engagement and strategic initiatives advancing sustainable development and economic justice in Africa. Her areas of interest include African development policy, debt sustainability, climate finance, digitalization and emerging technologies, and the intersection between governance and sustainable development. Mitchell is particularly interested is strengthening African led policy solutions and contributing to research and advocacy that supports more equitable and sustainable development outcomes across the continent.
