International Public & Private Finance
Camerodene-June Buys is the International Public & Private Finance intern at AFRODAD. She has experience as a junior researcher and policy advocate in social protection and global development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international Relations and an Honours degree in African Studies. As a decolonial scholar and First Nation activist, she is committed to challenging entrenched power dynamics and advocating for policies that center social and economic injustice. She has an interest in examining power structures within the global political economy, particularly their influence on Africa’s sovereignty, economy, and development trajectories. Through research and advocacy, she seeks to advance transformative policies that promote justice, global reforms and sustainable development across the African continent.
