Policy, Research & Advocacy
Oru Allens is a Policy, Research & Advocacy intern at AFRODAD. He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Buea, Cameroon. With a focus on Sustainable Development Goals 11, 13, and 17, Allens has published 23 articles and mentored over 120 young researchers in research basics. A seasoned youth activist, Allens was selected among 150 youths from 32 African countries for the Youth Adaptation Finance in Africa (YOFAFA2024) program in 2024. He has spoken at national and international conferences on peace, electoral practices, sustainable development, climate change, and best policies in Africa (online and onsite). A finalist in the inaugural African Youth Parliamentary Debate in 2020. He is keen to drive sustainable development in Africa through research, advocacy, and policy.
