Following the successful hosting of the just ended African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD II) by AFRODAD and its partners themed “From Recovery to Reform: Sisi Ndio Tuko||Stop the Bleeding", held from the 24th – 26th August 2022, in Lilongwe Malawi. 

The conference managed to build momentum and proffered ideas to get the continent out of the current debt crisis. Professor Mangani who was our guest keynote speaker brought forward key highlights related to the conference theme and raised 4 critical recommendations he felt African governments desperately needs to unshackle the dependence syndrome of borrowing. Prof. Ronald Mangani is calling for a complete dismantling of the current global debt architecture that has not only left many countries in debt crises but also in dire perpetual economic instabilities.
